Vaccination of foreign citizens living in Hungary

The Government of Hungary is now offering Covid vaccination to foreign citizens living in Hungary with a valid residence permit.

This requires registration, which can be done on vakcinainfo.gov.hu/registration!

Vaccination is voluntary and free of charge. If you register and approve further contact, you will receive instant information about the vaccine and what to do next. The order in which people are vaccinated is not determined by the order in which they register, but by their vulnerability to disease caused by the coronavirus.

  • As on 23 May 2021 Hungary has reached the milestone of 5 million vaccinated citizens, the curfew and the regulation for obligatory mask-wearing outdoors are withdrawn.
  • Restrictions on the business hours of shops and restaurants are lifted.
  • Both individual and team sports are allowed outdoors.
  • Family events and weddings may be organized for up to 50 and 200 people, respectively. Family events, if held in a hotel or restaurant, must be in a separate area.
  • Indoor and music/dance events may only be attended with an immunity card.
  • Outdoor events may be organized for up to 500 people.
